Araba Taylor ARABA TAYLOR M.A. (Hons.) (Cantab.) (1985) is a general Chancery practitioner, doing wills, trusts and property cases.

Principally a litigator, about 70% of her work comprises advice, drafting and advocacy relating to contentious matters. She also undertakes a substantial amount of non-contentious property work, offering advisory and drafting services, particularly in the fields of real property/conveyancing and the administration of estates.

She covers all traditional Chancery disciplines including real property/interests in land; housing and homelessness; and other areas of law involving property and trust concepts such as partnership, bankruptcy and insolvency and the minority shareholders' disputes, particularly in the context of family or quasi-partnership companies.

She also handles professional negligence relevant to these practice areas.

She acts for all types of clients, including private and corporate clients, local authorities, professional indemnity insurers and publicly-funded clients and appears in all courts and tribunals, such as the Adjudicator to HMLR, and in mediations.

CPD/professional training: Since 1998, Araba has been an active CPD trainer, delivering accredited short courses for solicitors in private practice and local government via her chambers and the University of Hertfordshire's Faculty of Law, on bespoke in-house programmes for solicitors' firms; and, as a freelance trainer, for CLT (wills, trusts and property matters) Shelter Training and others.

Araba is also a contributor to the Law Society's Probate Section Journal and has also written for the STEP journal and Elderly Client Adviser. Please see our Publication section for examples.
