- Currencies Direct v Ellis  EWCA 779 – ss330, 341 and 342 Companies Act 1985, that payments made to a company director had been remuneration rather than a loan
- Younas v Chief Constable of Hampshire  EWCA Civ 1936- that the Employment Appeal Tribunal should give reasons for rejecting any grounds of appeal whether to grant an appellant permission to proceed to a full hearing and should expressly state when an appeal was to proceed on all the grounds raised
