The Court of Appeal has given guidance as to what constitutes a “building” for the purposes of Chapter 1 of the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993, and what are “common parts”. The decision is of particular interest to those reversioners who wish to retain the development potential of blocks of flats which may be the subject of the exercise of the right of collective enfranchisement.
